🌿 How it Works + Tips
Good things take time: This is two kits in one. Your Oil Infusion kit will take 3 weeks to prepare before you can create your body butter. So we suggest you start that early.
Your body butter kit is designed to help you create a luxurious, age-supporting moisturiser that melts beautifully into the skin. By blending nutrient-dense Rosehip Seed Oil with Rose-Infused Jojoba Oil and rich unrefined Shea Butter, you’ll craft an intensive butter popularly used for mature skin, scars, stretch marks, and areas needing deep nourishment.
Ingredient Highlights:
• Rosehip Seed Oil — Cold-pressed and rich in vitamin C, essential fatty acids, and natural retinoids that support skin nourishment.
• Rose-Infused Jojoba Oil (Takes 3 weeks to prepare) — A botanical-infused oil combining rose’s conditioning benefits with jojoba’s skin-identical esters.
• Organic Shea Butter (Unrefined) — Delivers lasting moisture and reinforces the skin barrier.
• Rose Geranium Essential Oil — Balancing floral oil that supports a healthy complexion.
• Rosemary Essential Oil — Antioxidant-rich oil that helps preserve your blend naturally while invigorating the skin.
💡 Tip: This is a concentrated butter — a little goes a long way.

Please follow the Oil Infusion Instruction to prepare your Oil. It takes 3 weeks and must be done before starting your butter.
🧂 Method
1) Clean & Sterilise
• Sanitise all equipment with isopropyl alcohol and let dry completely.
• Clean & Prepare your workspace.
2) Measure Oils
• Measure Rose-Infused Jojoba Oil using your digital scale.
3) Measure Butter
• Measure the Shea butter and add them to the oils in a microwave-safe / heat-safe container.
4) Warm Ingredients
⚠️ *Important: The butter must NOT reach over 50°C.
Microwave Method:
- Place Microwave-safe pouring jug of Body Butter Ingredients into the microwave.
- Heat in 20 second bursts, until 80% of the Shea Butter is melted. The base must not get hotter than 50°C.
- Remove from the microwave and stir until the shea butter is melted.
Heat Bath Method:
- Fill a cooking pot with enough water to reach halfway up the outside of your heat-resistant jug.
- Place the jug into the pot and apply low heat. (Boiling water is not necessary—gentle heat will melt the base evenly.)
- Continue to stir, heat until 80% of the Shea Butter is melted. The base must not reach above 50°C.
- Remove from heat and stir until the shea butter is melted.
⚠️ Safety: Use heat-protective gloves and never leave the melting process unattended. Keep children away from the stove.
5) Add Essential Oil
• When the temperature falls below 40°C, add your essential oil and mix thoroughly.
6) Set or Whip
• Standard texture: Pour into jar and let it set completely. Stirring every 30 minutes until it hardens. (It should take a few hours).
• Whipped texture: Chill in the fridge for 10–15 min until semi-solid, then whip with a hand mixer until fluffy.
✨ Usage
• Rejuvenating treatment: Focus on stretch marks, scars, and mature areas.
• Evening application: Use before bed to allow the oils to work overnight.
• Targeted areas: Ideal for elbows, knees, décolletage, and hands.
• Massage treatment: Rich texture suits slow, therapeutic application.
• Small amounts: A little goes a long way due to the high oil content.
💡 Tips & Troubleshooting
Tip: Store at room temperature, away from sunlight, below 24 °C, the butter will begin to melt above this temperature.
• Too soft? Add 5–10g more Shea Butter or 2–3g Cocoa/Kokum Butter or Beeswax. Remelt below 50 °C.
• Orange or reddish tint? Normal — from Rosehip Seed Oil’s natural carotenoids.
• White spots or grainy texture? Likely overheated — still safe to use.
• Strong herbal scent? Rosemary’s aroma will soften within 24–48 hours.
• Oil separation? Caused by overheating — gently remelt and cool slowly.
• Rancid smell? Rosehip oil should smell nutty, not fishy. Discard if odour changes.
• Temperature reminder: Never exceed 50 °C to preserve Rosehip’s delicate compounds.
